I’m Leonid Svyatov, the owner of this personal site, based in Armenia. This page explains how information is handled when you visit svyatov.com or contact me. The site has no ads, forms, or accounts.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand visits and which pages people read. The Google tag loads when you visit. It is configured with analytics_storage set to denied, which prevents it from reading or writing first-party analytics cookies. This setting does not stop data from being sent to Google.

Google receives measurements without analytics cookies. These can include the page URL (including query parameters), referrer, time of the visit, browser and device information, consent settings, and a random number generated for each page load. Google also receives your IP address as part of the connection and can use it to estimate your location, including your city. Collection of detailed device information is enabled.

Google signals and user-provided data collection are disabled, and the site does not use User-ID. No advertising products are linked to this Analytics property. Search Console is linked to show how people find the site through Google Search.

Optional sharing for Google products and services is disabled. Sharing for modeling contributions and business insights is enabled, which allows Google to combine data into statistics with data from other sites and apps. Google also has permission to access account data for technical support and business recommendations.

The Google Analytics property’s data retention setting is 14 months. This setting applies to the user and event data covered by Google’s retention controls. It does not set a deletion deadline for standard aggregated reports.

Browser storage

If you change the single-key shortcuts setting in the keyboard help, the site saves your choice in your browser’s local storage under shortcuts. The value is on or off. The site does not send this value to a server. It has no expiry set by the site. You can remove it by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Hosting

GitHub Pages hosts this site. GitHub collects visitors’ IP addresses in logs for security. Its handling of this information is described in the GitHub privacy statement.

Email and privacy requests

The email links open your email app. If you send me a message, I receive your email address, the message, and any information you include. Your email provider and mine process the email to deliver it. I keep correspondence for as long as needed for the purpose of the exchange.
